Our Future Is Communal

We face so many challenges now. These challenges are often global and it is very possible that only global solutions will bring us where we need to be. We live in an interconnected world. Distances between us have shrunk radically. We all see the same world each day, rather than living distinct and separate existences.

This globalization beckons us to come together with each other. Logistically, it is so much easier now. At the same time, much still separates us. Polarity is at a fever pitch. Many do not see our common humanity, but rather are suspicious of and emphasize our differences. This does not get us very far. Rather, it takes us backwards.

If we do not find a way to come together, our doing what we need to do for people and the planet will be very difficult. Many are encouraging us to be in harmony. To do so, we must release attitudes that we are each on our own and separate from each other, that competition is the only way, that peace is not possible and that coming together is not our human nature.

Creating Harmony

So, if we are to come together, how do we do so harmoniously? We focus on the things that connect us. We let go of the jealousies, feelings of scarcity, fears and prejudices that separate us. We move towards our commonalities, recognize the strengths we have in unity, acknowledge our mutual dependence and need for each other and embrace our common future.

Emerging from the pandemic, we have wide open opportunities. The past is gone. We have the chance to create a new future. What do we want it to be? What Openings are before us that will help us create harmony? Let’s look for them together. We can do so by focusing on what we want to do together and staying focused and alert to what Openings appear.

Harmony is a pleasing arrangement of parts. We are the parts. Expanding this concept, we also are part of the planet and all that lives here with us. It will be a stretch to reach harmony as our society has been built on separation and individuality, to the exclusion of harmony. How do we create the harmony that will move us forward? Perhaps, by pursuing Openings together.

The Nature Of Collaborative Openings

Collaborative Openings are ones we find together. They are Openings that we may not find when acting alone. We explore, share common purpose and move forward together, When an Opening is found, it is for all of us. We enter together and begin our work. Each person is changed by entering the Opening, in a way that is unique for them.

In my book Kaleidoscope: Flying Together In Earth’s New Energy, I write about the nature of collaboration and its importance as a way forward for humanity. It is likely that we will not reach our highest potential without collaboration. Learning to collaborate may take time, but is well worth our investment in it.
