Confidence and Openings
It can be hard to be sure of myself when facing an Opening. There’s the presence of the unknown, a new place I must go and challenges awaiting me.
Of Course, We Can Do It!
Why shy away? When exploring Openings together, let’s start with the premise that we are up for entering and making the most of them. Openings keep our journeys moving. How else will we move forward? Do we want someone to carry us? We build our own momentum by recognizing and entering Openings.
Confidence is key. We must believe in ourselves and the skills and abilities we have developed, knowing that we can make it through any Opening we choose to enter. Our lives are designed to reveal Openings at the right times, so that we can grow and change. Openings are benevolent, not malicious. Therefore, we can welcome them into our lives and make the most of them.
Confidence involves trusting ourselves to do what we say we’ll do and knowing that our efforts will result in the outcomes we desire. For some Openings, we may have to grow and learn beyond where we are now, but that does not shake our confidence. We know how to get what we need and we believe in our ability to master Openings.
What’s To Fear?
Fear is a mental construct. Oftentimes, fear is not real but rather is a projection into our future or a feeling we have had in the past. The present moment is the best place to deal with any fear that arises, when an Opening is encountered. In the present moment fear diminishes quickly, as the circumstances of the situation become clear.
Fear can turn into an advantage when we encounter an Opening. It can quicken us and get us moving. Fear makes us move and that can be healthy. When we recognize our fear, we can deal with it as it is in a present moment encounter with an Opening.
However, we can be frozen by fear, bringing us backwards and away from an Opening. There are many things we can encounter as we face an Opening – the presence of the unknown, anticipation, desire to know more about the Opening and a feeling of unfamiliarity. All these things can trigger our fear. Fear also can be a disadvantage if it keeps us from using our natural abilities and making the most of an Opening.

Building Confidence
How do we build our confidence, so that we can make the most of Openings?
There are many aspects to our confidence. On a physical level, we can build confidence by honoring and taking care of our body. This lets us feel good about our physical selves. We can be intentional about the foods we eat, honor the body we have and stay physically active.
Our confidence is closely intertwined with our emotions. Our emotions need our attention and management. Emotions can take us for quite a ride particularly when it comes to fear. We need to center our emotions and balance them, especially as we encounter Openings. Emotions are wonderful parts of us and when balanced give us confidence and comfort.
Our minds, when centered and at their best, can help us make the most of Openings. They, too, are powerful allies. They give us what we need to discern what an Opening offers us and how we should choose. As we develop our minds, our confidence can soar.
Our faith, inspiration, creativity – our unique perspectives and undertakings will be a foundation of our confidence. As we embrace our unique selves, we will celebrate who we are. We will differentiate ourselves from the norms of society and find joy.
Seek Openings
As we begin to seek Openings, we have the opportunity to grow our confidence. As we choose which Openings to enter, we will learn and grow from how we experience them. Confidence will follow.
Let’s build our confidence and, at the same time, seek Openings. This is a powerful combination. Our journeys will reflect the power we are developing as we do both.
I can see this, a more confident me will embrace Openings in a new way. Here I go!
