Healing Openings

I am stuck right now. Not sure what is happening but there may be something I have to rectify before I can move forward.

Openings Have Varied Purposes

There are many kinds of Openings. All Openings have things in common – offering something new, getting our attention and helping us move forward. Openings offer opportunities and provide new insights. Openings often involve changing circumstances and can involve expansion or contraction in our life. They are individualized to our lives and to what we need to move forward.

Openings are not mandatory. Each Opening offers some kind of movement. When an Opening appears, we have choice whether to enter it. It will set a direction for our life, at least in the near-term, and we remain in charge of where we go. Openings get us thinking about where we are and are not headed in our lives.

Ignoring Openings, as a regular practice, keeps us where we are and eventually in stasis. Life is meant to be in motion. Not frantically, but purposefully. We are here to learn and grow. Openings help us do this. Healing Openings are, worth our attention. – every one of them. They don’t show up by mistake. We create some of them and others appear as part of our life journey. They beckon us.

Healing Helps Us Move On

Healing has many connotations. In this blog post, healing means letting go of things that no longer serve us, releasing a pain that we carry that prevents us from creating a fulfilling life, understanding and letting go of a conditioning or belief (often from our childhood) that is holding us back or making right a past situation that pulls on us and focuses our attention in a negative way.

Part of the process of creating a fulfilling life is to accept the elements we want to have in our lives and discard the elements we do not want. It is like a sculpture that begins as a block of wood. Over our lives we shape and whittle away until the sculpture is what we want it to be. Our tools are our discernment, intelligence, commitment, sense of purpose and desire to grow and learn.

It is not easy to whittle away at the wood of our sculpture. We are conditioned to want safety and consistency, even to our detriment. The things that give us this become comfortable parts of our lives. When they no longer have a purpose or have lost their usefulness, we have gotten used to them and cannot always see the need to let them go. However, we must if we want to move on and create the life we want to live.

Healing Openings

Healing Openings come in varied forms. Something we are doing dealing with may become too hard to bear and we know we must let it go. We may be offered an opportunity that takes us out of a hurtful or abusive situation (in our life or work). We may raise our confidence to a level where we see a way to heal something that we could not see before. We may have a dream come true that can bring our life to new heights.

Healing Openings are sometimes obscured by our own beliefs and fears, which fog our ability to see them. In this case, the challenge is, first, to see them. We must stay watchful and ready for Openings that appear by building our confidence, continuing to learn and grow and being aware of our balance mentally, emotionally and physically. Once we see healing Openings, we can make our choice whether to enter them.

Healing Openings can be challenging. They involve work, growth and discomfort. They may involve entering the unknown – leaving what we know with the path before us being unclear. They always involve change. Healing Openings stretch us. They also offer us possibilities that we may have wanted for a long time. How can we meet these challenges when there is something we need to heal? We can’t.

Moving On

Healing Openings allow us to move on. They may ask a lot. However, staying in motion is better than staying still, to our detriment, over a long period of time. We are meant to keep going and healing Openings provide gateways to a better life. Get ready to see and make the most of healing Openings!

Healing Openings can be a positive force in my life. I am ready to acknowledge them.
