Openings That Offer Release

At twilight a gull flies with the setting sun in the background.

I don’t see anything new in the Opening before me. What is it about?

 A Sole Purpose

We often think of Openings as gateways to something new. Our choice is whether to stay where we are or move forward in our journeys. Openings that offer us release have a unique nature. They appear for the purpose of allowing us to release what no longer serves us and to make room for something new.

We must release what no longer serves us for something new to be able to come in. Usually, release is necessary when a significant change is calling us. Perhaps aspects of our lives are incompatible with the change that is coming. Perhaps we must endure a challenge to be ready for what is to come. Perhaps there are things that no longer make sense for the life we are living.

Turning away from release stunts our journey. Without release we often cannot move forward.  We may be reluctant to release aspects of ourselves or elements of our lives that we have grown comfortable with. Release may provoke our fear. The act of release may intimidate us – we do not know how to do it and it seems to be a huge undertaking.

Assisting Us

Openings that offer release are our allies. They are wind at our backs that propel our journeys. They assist us in moving forward and help us create the life we want and are meant to live. We should look at them as benevolent, not threatening. Our sense that release is threatening comes from unhealthy places. Life is a journey, a place to learn and grow. Release is inherent in growth and is nothing to be afraid of.

Openings that offer release come in many forms. If a good relationship sours in some way, it may be a sign that the relationship no longer serves us and must be released. A change may occur that is unexpected, altering our life in some way (e.g. loss of a job) that releases something without our participation. An Opening may appear that makes a path to release clear to us in a way we did not see before.

It is important that we expand our awareness of Openings to include the ones that offer us release. They are critical to our journeys. In the past we may have refused to see this type of Opening, because it was different than other Openings or because we did not want to face them. As we accept the value of release in our lives and develop the courage and foresight to embrace it, we are better for it. Openings that offer release assist us and hold great value for our lives.

Are there aspects of your life that are ready for release? Let them go and get on with your journey. Let coaching support and encourage you.

Creating Open Space

Release creates open space in our lives. Within that open space so much is possible. New Openings can come to us. We are freer mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Our imaginations can roam. We are unburdened. There is room for the things we need to come into our lives. Our creativity is enhanced. We have freedom to choose new Openings and directions for our lives.

Open space is necessary for us to move forward in our journeys. We may be reluctant, at first, to create open space for ourselves. We may fear it will leave us empty. We may be uncomfortable with the unknown that is present in open space. We may want to hold on to what we have for the safety and security of the known and familiar. However, too much reluctance stops us in our tracks and dulls our lives. We are living in reaction and fear rather than response and trust.

Embracing open space serves us mightily in our journeys. It can be fun and stimulating too. Open space is an environment in which we can create our best selves.

The Power of Release

As Openings that offer release show up in our lives, we accept their invitation. They come to help us in the best of ways, if we can have the courage and foresight to enter them. Once we have walked through and out of an Opening that offers release, a world of possibility awaits and the best of Openings beckon us.

Oooh, I am liking this release. Why did I ever hesitate in entering this Opening? I feel like I can fly!
