The Sweetest Openings

A young, sleeping lynx, sleeping quietly with an angelic face.

I am wondering about Openings. Do they all bring lessons and difficult choices? Do they have to be challenging? Are there any nice ones?

Many Kinds of Openings

In this blog, posts often discuss the challenges of Openings and the difficult choices involved regarding whether to walk through them. Openings involve many unknowns, having to release the past in order to walk into the future, dealing with change, being sometimes hard to see and the need to surrender to them.

Not all Openings involve challenges and difficulties, however. There are many kinds of Openings – ones that allow us to rest for a while, that open to reward us for the hard work we have done to get there, that bring blessings to our lives and that bring wonderful opportunities. These are the sweetest Openings.

In this post, let’s open ourselves to the sweetest Openings we have experienced and that we will experience in the future. We can start by looking back and identifying the Openings we encountered that gave us joy. Name 5 of them. Look at the circumstances of their arrival, how they made you feel, what was waiting on the other side and how they changed you for the better.

Where They Take Us

The sweetest Openings take us just as far as challenging Openings do. We don’t subscribe to – “no pain, no gain” here.  There is enough challenge in many Openings we encounter. These Openings offer us another way. They align with us and bring us to places we are happy to go.

The sweetest Openings involve growth – often rapid growth – because we are excited about what they are bringing us. They build our confidence with their positive energy and support for our dreams. Entering them is a pleasure. We are easily going where we want to go – not climbing challenging mountains, hoping that something good awaits us.

The sweetest Openings can take us to many places, the same as more challenging ones do. The difference is in their nature. They may lead us to places we have wanted to go or that we never imagined. We enjoy the ride. We are in our truth and our truth is supported. We are happy and often have a sense of wonder at what the Opening has brought for us.

Contrast and Flow

Contrast is a basic part of life – good and bad, light and dark, challenge and ease. The sweetest Openings are fun to explore. Often, when they show up, they are easy to walk through, even if getting to that point was not easy. They bring enjoyment, growth, rest and happiness. Compare them to challenging Openings and they look great!

Flow is easier to achieve with the sweetest Openings. We are moving with the wind, not against it. As a result, we often move quickly. Due to this ease, we are often at our finest. It is easy for us to bring up and maintain our best qualities, once we have entered the Opening. Our emotions are positive, our minds are engaged, and we have what we need to take the journey the Opening offers us.

Take some time to look at the different types of Openings you have encountered. Here are a few questions you can ponder, if you would like to:

  • Have I encountered any sweet Openings in my life? What are some of them?
  • Have I gravitated to challenging Openings because I think anything good is only earned by hard work?
  • Have I ever sabotaged or ignored a sweet Opening? Why?
  • How open am I to receiving good things in my life – love, joy, positive opportunities? Do I believe that I deserve them?

Relish Them

We do not control when Openings appear or their nature. The sweetest Openings do not come every day. They are gifts and every bit as important as other types of Openings. Think of a gentle, flowing river. Even though it is gentle, it is taking us downstream. We are moving and continuing our journey.

Sometimes, the sweetest Openings give us time to rest, build strength and enjoy ourselves. Take their positive energy and use it when more challenging Openings are in front of us.

Throughout our lives, the sweetest Openings are balanced with more challenging and difficult ones. When the sweetest Openings come, best to relish and honor them and take advantage of what they have to offer!

I am ready to welcome and experience the sweetest Openings. Hope they come soon!
