Clear Openings
Look at this. An Opening right in front of me, clear as day!
Clarity
Sometimes it happens. An Opening appears and the choice is before us. No obscurity, struggling or uncertainty – it’s right there. It is a beckoning for us to move forward and enter the Opening. Its initial features are clear, even if what lies beyond the Opening is not. We could try to turn away, but we have already seen the Opening and received its invitation. Turning away would be a futile act.
This clarity engages us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We are 100% present to the Opening in the moment we see it. Clarity brings transparency and brightness and has its own power. For example, clarity is crucial to effective communications. Mental clarity allows us to be at our best, to have a clear mind and to focus – distraction and uncertainty are pushed away. The level of clarity sets the value of a diamond.
Clarity supports us in seeing, understanding and feeling clear Openings. The negative influences, distractions and stresses we often must move away before seeing an Opening are gone in this instance and we can focus easily. It is hard to deceive ourselves about an Opening before us when we have a clear view of it. Clear Openings are a gift to us that we are best to recognize and utilize.
Choice
After clarity, comes choice. Before us is a choice whether to enter an Opening. We can explore for a while. What is the nature of the Opening? What does the Opening offer and ask of us? How could it change our life? What is required of us to enter the Opening? Do we have what it takes to enter, or do we need to prepare? Do we see any negatives in entering the Opening? Do we have a sense of where the Opening will take us?
Choice is best taken seriously. The process of exercising choice changes us, hopefully for the better. We choose to enter an Opening that serves us or we choose to not enter an Opening that does not fit what we want for our life. Openings are engines that drive our life. We may avoid making a choice regarding an Opening but that gets us to a place of stagnation or negative consequences. Choice makes life interesting and gets us where we want to go.

Choice is an act of power. In making a choice, we move forward. We set a particular direction for our life. We further define the nature of our life. We strengthen by confronting the risk and uncertainty that can accompany an Opening. We acknowledge the dreams we have for our life when we choose accordingly. Exercising our power of choice is life-affirming.
Ease
Clear Openings provide a sense of ease. Choices are made easier. We know what the choice is about, at least the choice of whether to enter it. We can make our choices calmly. We see the elements of the Opening. There are no shadows or obstacles in our view. We can evaluate if this Opening offers a move we want to make. We can weigh the positives and negatives of the Opening because they are in front of us.
Although our choices to enter or not to enter an Opening all involve some uncertainty, we are confident in our choices in the present moment. We start out solid in our steps and then can face what we encounter along the way. We are centered and hopefully strong physically, mentally and emotionally because we have taken the time we need to make our choices.
We sometimes play a role in whether Openings are clear or foggy. Our perspective and point of view when we first encounter an Opening has much to do with the state of our mind and emotions. Choices are harder to make from a state of confusion. We can easily obscure or distort an Opening if we are not centered as we first observe it.
Done!
When we encounter clear Openings, we start with an advantage. As we bring ourselves to center the Opening is even clearer. A clear Opening is easier to see and there is a light on the path before us. May we all have clear Openings this year!
