Lifting Up

Beautiful white clouds scattered on a blue sky.

The energy in the world keeps pulling me down. In the past, I could lift myself up. It is not as easy to do now.

Lifting Up

In this blog, I am almost a broken record when speaking about the change, chaos and challenge in the world. It’s here though, and we are all dealing with it. It seems at times to be our new normal – rapid change, polarity, breakdown of systems (both intentionally and unintentionally) and frequent shocks that cause us distress. Many want out of this new normal.

We are on an unknown path. There are no guidebooks or markers for dealing with this time. It is a free-for-all with different players using this energy to their advantage and others reeling from it. How do we lift from this? A start is to take some time to center, get fully present and do our best to understand, mentally and emotionally, what is happening.

As we put our focus on lifting up, we will make it. We will create a vision for ourselves of where we want to be. Perhaps we want less “noise” from the news, more joy, new purpose, more compassion in the world or more peace. All of this is possible. Our challenge is how to lift, especially with all that is happening around us.

Pulling Down

What is it that is pulling us down? Change is a factor, and it is extreme. Fear is pulling us down. We are not sure what lies in front of us and the foundations we once had are crumbling beneath our feet. Those who have had power in the old systems do not want to let go of that power. They are doing everything they can to preserve what was and trying to pull others with them as they fall. It is a strong grip, not to be made light of.

Some of us feel assaulted by all that is happening. And it is happening quickly. We can become disoriented or discouraged and that can stop us in our tracks. We can become despondent and start spiraling downward. We need to find support to prevent this from happening – friends, thinking things out, nurturing ourselves or taking positive action.

Key is to be aware of our emotions, mindset and physical health during this time. They are indicators of whether we are allowing ourselves to be pulled down. We can find ways to build our physical, mental and emotional health that may seem extraordinary but are needed for this time. This is not an easy task when we feel ourselves being pulled down. It is something, however, that we must do.

It is challenging to feel yourself being pulled down. There are effective ways to deal with this and rise. Let’s talk.

Balancing

How do we balance it all? It takes a lot to balance when chaos and change surround us and we feel unsteady. Balance, however, is dynamic as opposed to static. To balance, we stay fully in the present moment and respond to whatever occurs. We are aware of time and make space for the extra energy drains we are experiencing. We adjust our expectations from what they may have been in the past to what is reasonable now.

Balancing in this energy is a whole new dynamic. We must revisit what balance is to us. What do we need now? What is threatening our balance? Do we need more downtime? More support from friends and family? To spend less time paying attention to the news? To give time to making things better?

Once we lift up, does it mean we are in paradise? Perhaps eventually, but for a while we will still be balancing and adjusting. We will be in a better place. We will be able to detach from the chaos and challenges that have surrounded us. We will find more peace and be able to center. The conditions we will be in will align with us, rather than confront us.

Getting There

It is worthwhile to think about what is happening and where we would like to go. It is not likely we can go back to the way things were. What kind of world do we want to live in? What is within our power to manifest? How has lifting up affected and empowered us? These questions await us as we all are moving towards lifting up. The alternative is not acceptable.

It is a heavy lift, but it is clear to me that is the direction I want to go in.
