Spring Openings
I am not liking this. Things are coming up that I thought I released long ago. Challenges are intense. It is overwhelming. What am I to do?
Year Of The Fire Horse
We are three months into a very different year. The fire horse is going at extraordinary speed. For many of us, the demands on our time are coming swiftly and insistently and cannot always be met. The world around us seems to change radically every day. News bombards us. The escalation of violence is frightening and is touching many parts of the world. We respond to one situation and immediately there is another to deal with.
For us to ride the fire horse a new orientation is necessary. We must accept that the world has changed dramatically. We often do not know where we are or what is to come, however we sense that we had better ride the horse or things will move without us and we could be left behind.
Some have said that our task is to harness the energy of the fire horse and ride it through the year. How can we do this? We must be fully present to what is happening now. (That is not easy to do with the chaos that surrounds us.) We then must discern what it is we want to do this year. We should think big and have a laser focus, as we will be doing it in a chaotic and challenging environment.
Lightness Of Being
Lightness of being may seem contrary to the year of the fire horse. It is not. Think of riding a galloping horse. Lightness is necessary to maintain speed and position on the horse. Heaviness only slows us down. Fire burns anything in its way including what no longer serves us. The fire horse, most likely, only needs a light touch to direct it. Speed is limited by density or hesitation.
The things coming at us now may have a purpose. To help us let go of our “baggage” so that we can ride the fire horse. Baggage meaning many things – old issues or worries from our past, things that slow us down to our disadvantage, holding on to old ideas or perceptions that are no longer relevant to the world today or elements of our lives that no longer serve a positive purpose.
This state of things is very uncomfortable. There is a swift, burning horse we must ride, the world is unrecognizable and seems out of control, we have lost our orientation to the world we live in, uncertainty abounds and who knows where we are heading. We just have to jump on the fire horse and see where it is going. Lightness serves us, making us faster, flexible and able to correct quickly if we need to.
Are you rising to spring? Let’s talk!
Spring Openings
What is the nature of spring Openings? They reflect the season and invite us to renew and blossom. They provide gateways we can choose to walk through. As spring does, Openings may reflect the beauty and promise of the season. Winter Openings may have helped us to quiet ourselves and reflect on our lives. Now, spring Openings burst forth, offering opportunities to grow and change.
Spring Openings could be challenging this year. There is so much intensity and chaos. Just as in Chrysalis, there is tension and disruption, as the old reluctantly gives way to the new. We can use Spring Openings to help us be the imaginal cells of Chrysalis and move towards taking flight. Openings may also help us walk away from the old and renew ourselves in strength and power.
Spring is a critical time. If seeds are not planted there is no blooming in summer. If we do not set our intent towards something, how will it manifest? The beauty, color and vibrancy of spring are here to inspire us into renewal and action. It is up to us to take spring’s inspiration and make something of it.
Movement
Clearly, spring is a time of movement. Let’s move with it toward a better life a better world and better selves. It’s the perfect time for renewal and change.
Spring brings promise. I’m ready to see its energy as a model for my own growth and renewal this season.
