Radical Openings

Not The Everyday

Sometimes Openings appear in our lives that set us spinning. Their nature is radical – walking through them could change our lives significantly. They are gateways to a new existence. As we face them, we know that we have significant decisions and choices to make.

Where do these radical Openings come from? Sometimes they come from out of the blue. They just arrive without much explanation. Other times, they are the result of actions we have taken, dreams we have actively pursued or things done for us by others. They are pivotal in our journeys, as they take our lives to a new level.

When these Openings appear, best that we take the time to see them and carefully decide what we will do about them. It is not predetermined that we must say yes to radical Openings; only that we consider them carefully. They are an opportunity for us to grow and change. They do not show up often in our lives. They usually are carefully timed for just the right place in our journey.

Sometimes Unexpected

Radical Openings often catch us by surprise. Even if we have prepared for and wanted them to come, they arrive in a big way, grabbing our attention. In some cases, we know we have worked for this. We just didn’t know what was to come from our efforts. In other cases, they totally, and usually pleasantly, surprise us.

Radical Openings are powerful beacons. They represent an opportunity to change our lives in a significant way. If what they offer is pleasant, we can easily say yes to them and move forward. If they are challenging, we may have some work to do before we choose. We then consider carefully the impact and influence they may have on our lives.

With the arrival of a radical Opening, we may find ourselves on our own. We can share our reactions with others, but the choice is ours alone to make. We are the ones that will live with our choices. We may find ourselves having to take a leap into the unknown, trusting that the opportunities we see in the Opening are good ones.
