Openings In a Rush

Swiftly rushing water over jagged rocks.

Whoa! An Opening just rushed by and I had no time to see it.

The World Is Speeding Up

Have you noticed? There’s a lot happening – chaos, speed, conflict, change and pressure. Within all this, we are supposed to assess Openings and calmy decide whether to enter? The answer is yes. Openings are necessary to our movement and growth. They don’t stop showing up because the world changes. Adjustments are called for, so that we can find our way.

When we go faster physically, we go slower spiritually. When we go slower physically, we go faster spiritually. Here’s a clue. We must find a new center in this sped-up world. How else can we see and assess the Openings that come before us? It is a challenge that is worth it. The world is changing and it’s best for us to adapt in the best way we can. Eventually, we may find advantages to these changes.

A lot is different in this sped-up world. The nature of the Openings that are appearing now may also be different. Openings may come faster and ask us to go faster as well. Their speed may cause us to find a new center. They may come more rapidly, and we will have to keep up with them. We really don’t know all that will occur. The key is to remain fully in the present and maintain our awareness of Openings and our changing world.

How To Do It

Unknowns will remain, but there are things we can do to see and handle the Openings that show up for us. Here are some ideas on how to adapt and thrive in this time.

  • Start by finding our center. Event at the current pace of life, centering is possible. Pausing and stopping periodically during the day allows us to see what surrounds us and assess how to function within it.
  • Be aware of what is happening around us and how we want to respond. Are we burning out? Are our emotions getting the better of us? Are our expectations of what we can do and accomplish in line with reality? Are things going smoothly?
  • Study the nature of the Openings that show up. Do they feel familiar? Do they ask more of us? Do we have to make our choices more quickly?
  • Know when things get to be too much. As things change, identify our “911” signs of stress, so that when they happen, we can recognize them. With change, stress can heighten and our ability to cope can diminish.
  • Develop ways to cope with the world as it is now. Thriving in our world is possible. To do so is a matter of our awareness, adaptability and acceptance. This world has a lot to offer if we are willing to go with it.

A New Rhythm

In essence, what we are doing is recognizing change and making it work for us so that we can keep going. There’s nothing gained in looking for a world that is no longer there. Seeing and learning about the world we are now in allows us to adapt to and enjoy it. Looking forward makes the unknown exciting. Many things are possible when things change. We just have to acclimate and accept the things we cannot change, as they are.

What do we see of the world as it is now? What is its rhythm? How is it affecting the way we live? How do we see Openings now? Do Openings seem different or are they the same as always? How do we see others adjusting to this world? Are there any advantages to the changes we are experiencing? Let’s open our eyes and make the most of the world we are alive in.

The world, and our lives, are entering a new phase. The world is smaller, and humans are closer than ever before, with faster and more efficient communication. The world of artificial intelligence is upon us. Of course, the nature and speed of Openings will change accordingly. Best to be ready for them.

Flow

Eventually, we will find a flow within this sped-up world. We’ll acclimate to the nature of the Openings that appear and our choices will be easier. We’ll find ourselves flowing with the world and Openings. When this happens, there’s a good chance that we will like where we are.

Next time I’ll be ready to see an Opening when it comes. I can do this.
